Mission of CCNB Competitive Sector and the High Performance Committee

In line with the objectives of CCNB as listed in our constitution (Article 4), the Competitive Sector and the High Performance Committee strive to:

Promote and encourage the development of cross country skiing throughout New Brunswick;
Promote excellence in competition at the national level and beyond particularly (but not exclusively) in our younger skiers

To support these goals CCNB offers our clubs, athletes and general membership the following key programs:
Coaching Development- to train and develop qualified coaches at the club and provincial level to promote the development of cross country skiing in the introductory (Jackrabbits) to the elite (Provincial Team) level skiers.
Technical Services- To provide support and training of club volunteers in running, organizing and officiating events such as Loppets, Club level and Provincial level events.
High Performance Program- to support our developing competitive athletes to achieve their personal goals, CCNB strives to follow the recommended guidelines of Cross Country Canada. A program of coaching support, training camps and "out of province" competitions (to supplement those available in the Province) are available to our club's competitive oriented skier.
