Ski Tournament

THE PROVINCIAL SKI TOURNAMENT WILL BE HOSTED BY THE WOSTAWEA SKI CLUB OF FREDERICTON, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2010 The tournament is a day of competition and recreation skiing for the kids of 3-13 years old. The competition is a sprint, short race of 50 to 200 meters depending on the age of the participants and a team relay. The recreation part, has a Ski playground and a treasure hunt for the kids. The principle objective of the tournament is to bring together elementary school age youngsters for a memorable and enjoyable day of cross-country ski competition and fun. Other objectives includes: 1. Encouraging achievement through team effort 2. Encouraging good ski technique 3. Encouraging participation from youngsters with a wide range of skill levels and ski experience The invitation to the tournament should be on our web site pretty soon!!
